Win a £33,000 MBA Scholarship
Do you want to gain a Cranfield MBA and change your life? That’s exactly what Cotswold farmer Dan Powell has done and you can do the same, for FREE. Last year Dan took advantage of a fully funded Scholarship – worth £33,000 – to study for an MBA at the Cranfield School of Management and now he is set to embark on a successful retail career as an extension to his farm business.
Farming in Gloucester, Dan is now on the hunt for other potential applicants that are involved in the agricultural industry and want to benefit from this incredible opportunity. Not only is it one of the most valuable up-front scholarship’s in the UK but the Cranfield MBA is number one in the world according to Wall Street Journal, ranked number one in the UK by The Economist and ranked one of the best in the world by the Financial Times. Put simply, this is the best MBA offered in the UK for farmers.
The pioneering scheme was established in 2005 by industry stalwart John Beckett who was concerned by the lack of business management skills evident in UK agriculture and farming. Commenting on the scheme, he said, “I personally feel it’s of utmost importance that any farmer controlled business or co-operative has farmer directors equipped with astute business acumen and one way of ensuring this is with a Cranfield MBA.” Aiming to offer farmers and agricultural professionals the opportunity to learn valuable business skills within a world class educational environment, the MBA which can normally be a significant financial burden is fully funded to the tune of £33,000 for any successful applicants.
Speaking about his experience, Dan Powell said, “For many years I had felt that an MBA would be a useful way of developing my business knowledge in general; however I felt that I would be unable to find the resources, both in terms of time and finance. Gaining my MBA has been hard but extremely rewarding and I have learnt so many valuable new skills. Since graduating, I have embarked upon an exciting new retail enterprise, something I would never have done before.
Other graduates to date include Richard Milligan-Manby from Lincoln and Mark Hall from Bedford and their feedback has been very similar. Mark Hall said, “One of my main concerns before undertaking the course was the cost, but with the fully funded scholarship, this was not a problem. My career path has now taken a new course; I work as a business analyst for Syngenta, a job I would never have secured without the MBA. I would thoroughly recommend this experience to anybody”.
